🌴SAN IGNACIO, BCS🌴 This small, sleepy colon 🌴SAN IGNACIO, BCS🌴 This small, sleepy colonial town is nestled in a date palm oasis, and is always a welcome stop after a long drive day. This small area is surrounded by beautiful old buildings with pops of color. Immediately you can tell that there’s something different about San Ignacio in comparison to the other Baja towns along the peninsula! When you arrive in the square, you’ll be mesmerized by the charm and beauty of San Ignacio. It’s a quiet, tiny village. There are a few restaurants, shops and taco stands that are fun to try. Additionally, there are some small bakeries that offer date bread and pies. You can secure a whale-watching tour out of here during high season (late January through end of March), and we highly recommend exploring the historical Misión Nuestra Señor San Ignacio de Kadakaamán in the town square. Pro tip: Camp at @paraisomisional, the cutest open space campground with good vibes and a serene atmosphere. OUR FIRST STOP IN BAJA 🇲🇽 Yesterday, we cro OUR FIRST STOP IN BAJA 🇲🇽 Yesterday, we crossed into Baja California with our caravan and landed at this beautiful spot: 📍 Pete’s Camp, San Felipe About two hours from the Mexicali border, San Felipe has quickly become the first place we land and kick off our Baja adventures! We found this spot two years ago, and have been coming back ever since. Located right on the Sea of Cortez, Pete’s Camp offers a resort-like vibe with clean, beachfront sites, cement pads, shaded structures and full hookups. It’s pretty pricey compared to other options in Baja at $55USD per night (cash or check only). But it’s a beautiful location and the owners are extremely friendly. And their on-site restaurant cooks up some great food and even better cocktails! Pete’s Camp is a 15-minute drive from the San Felipe malecon, so if you’re looking to be closer to the tacos and the action, we recommend trying Club de Pesca (also big-rig friendly) or La Palapa RV Camp (vans and truck campers only). Levi, you’re one of a kind and we’re so glad God made you ours. You’re funny, creative and kind. It’s amazing to see you walk into a new crew of kids, gain their respect and take charge of whatever game you’ve imagined. WOULD YOU CAMP HERE? 🤩 Welcome to Grass Valley WOULD YOU CAMP HERE? 🤩 Welcome to Grass Valley RV Resort, a gorgeous brand new RV park nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, only an hour from Sacramento, California! #hosted During the tail-end of our Summer road trip, we needed a place to work, homeschool and play near the Wheatland Amphitheater, where we had tickets to see Imagine Dragons. We fell in love with this awesome RV park, and here’s why: 👩🏼‍💼 The owners and staff are some of the nicest people we’ve met while camping! Not only were they easy to work with and thoughtful, multiple people checked on us during our stay. 🔌 Full hookups at every site! 👩🏽‍💻 Guests at this family-friendly gem can enjoy the beautiful 4500sqft lodge, which offers plenty of space for homeschoolers and digital nomads like us. They also offer high-speed WiFi for guests too. Soon they’ll have a camp store with beer and wine. 🧺 There are laundry, bathrooms and the cleanest showers ever on site. 🏓 There are three pickle ball courts with all the gear you need at the front desk. We tried playing for the first time, and while we could use some more practice, we had a blast! GVRV also has bocce ball and horse shoes too. 🐶 Our pup Frankie loved the spacious dog park and wash station. 💦 The real highlight for our family was the heated swimming pool and hot tub! The boys spent hours here wearing themselves out while I took in a good book. 🎫 The resort has something for everyone, AND it’s only 45 minutes from the Wheatland Amphitheater, where we took the boys for their first concert. It was such a convenient place to stay, and we’ll always book a spot here for our next live show! 💩 There’s a dump station available, along with propane refills. 15 YEARS 🥂🥹 Happy anniversary to the love o 15 YEARS 🥂🥹 Happy anniversary to the love of my life! It’s hard to put into words all of the feelings that come with a milestone like this (especially after a few celebratory cocktails, haha) — but I am SO grateful that God brought you to me, and me to you. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever think we’d be here, making our own rules and chasing our unconventional dreams, but knowing you and I, I shouldn’t be surprised. 😏 I love you more than you’ll ever know, more than I could ever express. You’re my rock, my shoulder to cry on, my voice of reason (even when I don’t want to be reasonable) and the BEST Dad to our two boys. Thank you for being you. TWO WORDS: GRIZZLY ATTACK🫣 One area of Yellows TWO WORDS: GRIZZLY ATTACK🫣 One area of Yellowstone that we love to explore is Lamar Valley, located on the Northeast border of the park. We’ve always camped just outside Cooke City, MT, known as one of the coolest small towns in America. The camping here is idyllic — quiet and peaceful, set against a stunning backdrop of forest and mountains, with easy access to the Beartooth Scenic Highway. After we left this spot and shared it to our stories, a fellow colleague and camping lover asked if I had heard the podcast that covered a bear attack there. No, we hadn’t — so she sent me the link to give it a listen. Come to find out — thankfully after we were long gone from this spot — a horrific grizzly attack had taken place here in 2010. 😳 A mama grizzly and her three yearlings attacked three separate tents at the campground one night, leaving two people were injured and a man killed (and consumed 😵). The spot where the last attack — the man who tragically died — occurred none other than in the campsite across from where we posted up. 😱😱😱 Now, the campground no longer allows tent camping, and there are signs at each site warning of grizzly bears… but we had stayed three blissfully unaware days at this spot without a clue in the world. (For that in which I am not sure to be grateful or horrified over!) Would we come back and camp here again knowing this now? Totally. But with a lot more awareness and bear spray accessible! What do you think? And while we prefer to boondock in epic places, sometimes the best campsites we’ve found are ones like this — on @u.s.forestservice land! If you plan on visiting the Tetons/Jackson Hole, you’ll want to bookmark the Mike Harris Campground. FRESH FADES… And fresher views! 🤩 Life on t FRESH FADES… And fresher views! 🤩 Life on the road has taught us to do some things differently, like learning how to give our boys haircuts ourselves vs trying to find a good barber in the places we visit. When we hit the road, Steven started giving the boys haircuts, as well as himself. As with everything he learns, Steven watched YouTube tutorials and chatted with barbers on how to fade. 💇🏽‍♂️With every buzz, he got better and better... and before he knew it, guys were asking Steven for haircuts and mamas were asking for their sons! In the past 5 years, he’s given haircuts at campgrounds, in the forest, on the beach and along the river. 🙌🏽 What used to take a couple hours for him to cut both of our boys’ hair now takes less than an hour. And we save about $200/month, plus the time it takes to find and vet barbershops on the road! FALL CREEK FALLS🤩 Some days there are views th FALL CREEK FALLS🤩 Some days there are views that you earn by hiking along a trail, and other days, you simply step out of your vehicle and let Mother Nature do all the work. Fall Creek Falls, located in Swan Valley, Idaho, is part of the latter category. This majestic waterfall with a 60-foot descent into the Snake River can be seen merely steps away from the dirt road that leads you here — and it’s totally worth seeing in person! (Ok so there is a teeny, tiny trail to the falls, but it’s so short I’m not sure you can even call it that! And if you don’t mind scooting your bum a few feet down a steep dirt path, you can enter a small cave behind the waterfall!) 📌SAVE THIS CAMPSITE!📌 If you’re heading t 📌SAVE THIS CAMPSITE!📌 If you’re heading to Grand Teton National Park from the west, then trust when I say that you’ll want to camp here! We were scouting places where we could work, explore and “hunker down” for Labor Day weekend, and came across this gem next to the Palisades Dam in Southeast Idaho. Not only is it an hour from Jackson, WY, there are PLENTY of epic boondocking spots! (So many that we literally lost count of all the trailers that came through for the holidays weekend.) There are sites like ours, with beautiful open views of the Snake River Range, as well as plenty of camping along the Snake River. A few other details to know: 💲 FREE to camp here 🚐 5-day camping limit 💩 $7 fee to dump tanks / fill up water 🤳🏼 Decent cell service 🦢 15 min to groceries, etc. in Swan Valley 🍦 Stop at Barry’s in Swan Valley for square ice cream 📸 20 min drive to picturesque Fall Creek Falls 🏍️ This area does have some dirt bike/ATV use, so aim for a spot tucked away from the dirt roads Would you add this boondocking spot to your road trip list? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Never Say Someday is an adventure-loving RV family obsessed with making the most out of life before it’s too late.
