As we look to continue traveling full-time (and the boys keep growing), we are ready to transition out of the van and into something a bit bigger that could also give us more flexibility with any season. So naturally, we decided to upgrade to a travel trailer! Other considerations included being under 30ft, built using high quality materials, having a dedicated space for the kids to sleep, and the ability to retrofit for off-grid camping.
The Best Place to See Grey Whales in the Wild? Guerrero Negro, Baja California
Our last big stop in Baja? Guerrero Negro! ? This area is home to Ojo de Liebre, a massive lagoon where the gray whales come to mate, and then birth their calves 12 months later. In February and March, there can be as many as 2,000 whales in the lagoon!
Why We Fell in Love with El Pescadero, Baja
Where is our favorite place in Baja? ? When we get asked this question, I always chuckle to myself before answering, because let’s be honest — every place in Baja is a favorite in its own special way. It might be the tranquil beach, the scenic views, the delicious comida, or in this case, the people, that make my heart swell with love. ? We discovered El Pescadero almost by accident while looking for places to camp nearby. San Javier: The Beautiful, Sleepy Village with Rich History
Nestled in the mountains of Sierra de la Giganta, San Javier is a small, sleepy village located 22 miles southwest of the seaside Loreto. To get here, it’s a beautiful yet windy drive through the craggy mountains and lush valleys.
How to Make Chorizo Tacos Dorado

Fortunately, we’ve eaten at enough taco stands in Baja to try a new favorite: Tacos Dorado. And when you can’t make it to Mexico, these tacos are perfect for…

What to See in Arches National Park in 48 Hours
Editor's Note: During our Utah travels, we were bummed that Arches National Park, one of the nation's most popular natural attractions, was closed due to the pandemic. So naturally, I asked Justin if he wanted to provide some info about Arches, and I'm excited to share his blog post with you all. To follow Justin, Alex and their two dogs Moose and Leroy, check out…
