A new year is upon us, and that means TONS of great new books are releasing! Over the past two months, I’ve been reading a LOT between downtime for the holidays and now spending time on the beach in Baja. Here are some of my favorite reads for the New Year!
Winter in Baja California, Mexico
Happy New Year, everyone! It's crazy to think that 2020 has come and gone. Thankfully, we were able to spend some time with family during the holidays. After six weeks off the road and plenty of van upgrade projects completed, we were ready to get back out there and explore!
What to See in Arches National Park in 48 Hours
Editor's Note: During our Utah travels, we were bummed that Arches National Park, one of the nation's most popular natural attractions, was closed due to the pandemic. It soon opened up just after we passed into Colorado. After getting to know Justin Joseph and his girlfriend Alex in Glacier National Park, we continued to stay in touch, and I was so jealous when I saw that they were exploring Arches National Park! So naturally, I asked Justin if he wanted to provide some info about Arches, and I'm excited to share his blog post with you all. To follow Justin, Alex and their two dogs Moose and Leroy, check out…

Nevada’s Best Kept Secret: Cathedral Gorge State Park

I’m always amazed at the healing power of nature. It doesn’t matter what kind of day I’m having, or what mood I’m in — nature can pull me out of any funk. I love the feeling of the ground beneath my feet, breathing the fresh air and marveling at the world around me. Spending time daily in nature reminds me that there are still good things in this life. Visiting Utah’s Best Kept Secret: The High-Elevation Town of Monticello
We’ve seen some beautiful spots on our Great Big Adventure, but this might top our list as one of the prettiest! After camping in Devils Canyon for a couple nights, we stopped in Monticello, Utah to hike around Lloyd Lake. I hadn’t done any homework — just happened to see that this place had an easy, relatively short hike. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we got here!
You’ll Love This Delicious Pad Thai Recipe for Camping, Backpacking or Van Life
The other night I was dying for some comfort food. Because a majority of our cooking happens outdoors, we wanted something super easy and fast so that we could eat and spend the rest of the evening cozied up in the van. I had totally forgotten about this recipe until Steven fired up the stove!
Buying a Van? Here are 8 Things to Consider for Van Life
Over the past two years we've been asked by a number of people for help evaluating a van purchase. Is this a good deal? What about this one?
